The best moments are homemade breakfasts beneath the pine trees, as locusts rustle and the sea roars just 50 meters away. Children begin their day playing safely in the yard.
Riva del Sole has been our favorite vacation home in Italy for decades. The villas have now been renovated and equipped with air conditioning, offering luxury for those seeking complete relaxation and peace with their family. All essential services are nearby when needed.
The area was developed in the 1950s by the Swedish organization RESO as a vacation destination for its employees, and it remains under Swedish ownership. The resort has been recognized for its commitment to sustainable development. The entire area is enclosed and guarded. It is especially popular among Italians, Germans, Swiss, and Swedes, and also the Finnish flag proudly flies on the flagpole.
If there's something unusual about the place, it's the sauna. It's a Finnish-style sauna (which origins from Finland) with a Finnish Harvia heater, but the age limit is 16(!), and you're not allowed to throw water on the sauna stones because there's no sauna bucket. And of course the sauna is empty, because you cannot go there with your family (there are not so many people without family spending time there). There is a sauna in every Finnish home, and people grow up with it from the moment they’re born. As Finns, we are happy to teach the owners what sauna bathing means. Welcome to our place in Finland! :)
