Campanile di Curon Venosta Vecchia is a lone bell tower rising from Lake Resia, the only remnant of a village submerged in 1950 due to dam construction. The church was lost beneath the water, but the tower endures, and local legend says its bells still ring even though they were removed before the flood.
The journey continues through the Umbrail Pass to Stelvio, and from there to the Dolomites.
